Getting to Know Julie
These days, I feel I miss flying. But, dwelling on such does not really make things better…flying in good memories does! By now, my niece Julie is six. We met in Singapore when she was less than a year old, and then, time flew! It’s a good thing we spent time together, to collect evidence about how the Lord loves her. Now we’ve actually got something to cherish and look back at. Lovely parents, Leo and Wanying with Julie. Met my cousin Leo on my Grand parent’s Golden Wedding, Anniversary… when I was six! We were rehearsing to a cousin-group performance of “Getting to Know You” from the movie, “The…

Family Portraits with PJ, AI and Ava
I’ve been looking at some of my hard drives lately, and while I’ve pressed the “pause” button for quite a number of kids, (my nephews and nieces included), it is also a blessing to see them grow. I have also been taking life cues from the plants I have been caring for (thus, the layout with leaves) — hehehe. And what I’ve learnt is that, it’s always a joy to see beginnings and and celebrating life as it blooms. A family of three may be a tiny unit, but if you treat every person you meet as somebody’s dream realized, creating moments for them then becomes a deeper experience. They…

Olivia’s Portraits as a Flower Girl | Chapters at Home
Hello! It’s me! 🙂 I’ve been doing my photo series “Chapters at Home” for about six months now, and so far the journey has been life giving. Why? Because through these sessions, we get to spend time together with clients, who inspite of the pandemic, are letting hope rule in their heart, by constantly looking for ways to count blessings. Through these portrait sessions, I always am reminded of the verse “Perfect Love casts out fear.” Olivia is now a year older, from the first time we met, at her baptism. I got to meet her, in a new role (chapter), that this year has offered her — as a…

Moments with the Laycos | Chapters at Home
Counting blessings comes in many forms. But, I believe that when you make your blessings count, and you share them they eventually multiply. Last November, our super cute and energetic little lady, ATARA, turned three and she greeted her new year with a princes Jasmine themed photo shoot! Little did she know that she will be really jumping into a whole new world :).We just got news that the family found out over the Holidays that she’s going to be an ATE (big sister) soon! 😉 Congrats again on your new Chapter & may more and more blessings chase after you! 😉

Team Reyes 2020 | Family Portraits
More than a year ago, Team Reyes celebrated the Baptism of Talia at Sanctuario de San Antonio. It was the first time that our paths crossed and I guess we opened a new chapter together. Before the New Year opened, their family once again decided to pause for a shoot, celebrating a new wave of blessings that came their way. It’s so inspiring to hear their stories about adjusting to 2020, how they’ve become closer as a family taking new roles in a WFH setup and at the same time, growing a family of four. Being busy bodies, you’d really appreciate their drive, their discipline and their commitment to their…

Atara Turns 3 | Chapters at Home
A whole new world— Indeed! Sometimes I find myself wondering about how to tell my tiny friends like Atara (3YO), about this season, where Covid-19 seem to have robbed a lot of families of good memories. But, what I’ve learned is that accepting the situation does not mean defeat. It means, “okay-and?”. This is exactly what happened when we had Atara’s birthday portraits. Her parents, Ashby and Josh, were determined to make sure that Atara’s heart will be filled with loads of laughter, so they were preparing a home-based virtual party where Atara’s friends were invited on Zoom. 🙂 Isn’t that inspiring? 🙂 To celebrate her special day, we had…

Niña’s Baptism | Christ the King Green Meadows
HOPE. If there’s one thing that I truly appreciate about shooting in this season, it is the presence of hope and joy in the hearts of families. Many of us have been made to stay at home for safety purposes, and well to save a life! But if we change our lenses for a little bit to focus on other angles of life in 2020, we will find life-giving moments. — Moments to be grateful for, moments to remember that blessings abound because the Lord is good. Just like welcoming our newest “tiny” friend, Niña, to the Christian world. 😉 Cara and Mike, we’ve met in a previous chapter (…

Lucia’s First Christmas | Family Portraits
OH, Hello Lucia! Months really do seem like days. 🙂 The belly that I once knew, is now a cute curly top named Lucia who just celebrated her first Christmas! She has made their filled with lots of new experiences, adventures, singing and yes, sleepless nights ^___^. Len and AL shared that they have become used to caring for Lucia by the time we came together for our Christmas shoot. 🙂 Our pregnancy shoot had some window shots too, so we updated that moment with Lucia 🙂 One day, she’ll definitely remember, that we celebrated her littleness, this way. 🙂 In the middle of our shoot, I asked if Len…

Waiting for Lucia | Maternity Shoot
“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” — 1 John 4:18 What’s it like to be pregnant in the middle of a pandemic? While the common answer would probably have something to do with being anxious, and fearful, there are couples like Earlene & Al, whose hearts beat differently. Because they experienced an answered prayer, they wanted to be sure they remembered that they got blessed. The lockdown may have hampered the plans of many, but the plans of the Lord remain. To honor her season, we did…
