Hey It’s Dylan! | Ascott Hotel Makati
One thing I really enjoy about photographing families is that it’s always a lovely riot! There’s that neat portion when everyone is on pause and posed, but, chasing spontaneous and candid moments also add a lot of energy into the session. Dindi and Mark decided to celebrate their first year of life with Dylan through a photoshoot. While editing, I still found myself laughing loud, being reminded about the day of the shoot. Dylan’s cousins, uncles, aunties and grandparents were also there to share moments with them. How nice to be in the position of writing about this little boy through photos, and contributing precious moments to their family’s history.…

Hugo’s Birthday PAWty | Kidzooona, Eastwood City Libis
It’s our second time shooting at Kidzooona, and it’s really nice to see both kids and adults enjoy in the same play ground. In celebration of Hugo’s first year, Mom Keena and Dad Cito came up with a PAWty. Yes, you read that right. We’ve got paws and puppies fused into their theme. I can’t wait to show you the treats at the dessert buffet, but you’ll see that later on. As for party favors and souvenirs, guests could even “adopt a puppy!” We’ve had loads and loads of smile and laughter that day. Okay now… time to enjoy the photos! Mazda CX-5 AWD Sport | Top Gear Philippines Feature
Every so often I get to shoot subjects beyond my usual turf which is families, kids, babies and events. Thanks to TOPGEAR Philippines, these “babies” get to roll on the terrain of the magical print world! It’s always a pleasure to see work, that’s held by countless of people. I mean I do love posting stuff on my blog and various social media channels. But, in truth, even though I do have copies at home, I secretly look at the copies I see when I’m in coffee shops, or when, shooting wedding preps at hotels. 🙂 The online version of the review by Sir Dinzo Tabamo is at this link: https://www.topgear.com.ph/drives/review-mazda-cx-5-awd-sport-a00012-20170826…

My Top Ten Lessons from the Kerygma Conference 2017 | SMX Convention Center
My very first experience of the Light of Jesus Family was actually through the Kerygma Conference so many years ago. I was a volunteer. While I was unsuspectingly covering the plenary talks with my friends, little did I know that this too, would launch my own personal journey as a photographer. Back then, I was so focused and engrossed at capturing the moments, it felt like I shut off all of my other senses, as I got mesmerized with… the lights, and the cameras, and the action. I was so focused on the task. I missed out on the Cross. This year is different. 🙂 I thought I wouldn’t be…

Sam’s Ballerina Birthday Bash | M Studio, Paseo de Magallanes
I’ve been reading up on making memories and it’s becoming more and more sentimental as I go deep into it. You’ve gotta be – paying attention – in order to receive that information or experience; You’ve got to be in some form of “listening” in order to record these moments properly. At the same time you’ve gotta keep on “writing” so that you’ll have something to hold on to, and to re-use, review, replicate or revisit for as long as you want to. However, I also got into pondering, why are some memories, louder or more memorable than others? — Because, the people behind it, intentionally made it happen. Allen and Ruby are…

The Journey is the Reward: Reflections About Coming Home
*COMING HOME* For many years, shooting for us meant that we’d go far, go places, explore and jump into adventure. However as of recent travels ( and shoots), we’ve come to realize that every time we do what we love to do, we the surfers of time, come closer and closer to whatever we’d treat as home. After the shoot we do come home, to our families, our favorite people, and yes, even to ourselves. When you feel at home with yourself, whether you go near, or far, whether you go simple or extra-special, you will always feel like you have already arrived instead of constantly waiting, and thinking about…

Smart Parenting Feature: Erika Padilla-Cariaso
Bubbly, Perky and Beautiful. During our shoot with Smart Parenting Online, Erika Padilla shared with us some wonderful insights about life and becoming a mother. Explosions of laughter filled the room, and every so often we had to pause to catch our breath, trying to keep quiet on the set. I placed here some photos as seen at the article which was originally published on August 7 2017.  I also included some of my favorite shots of her in the post.:) As of this writing Erika has already given birth to Grayson Jet. 🙂

Raffy and Carmela | Engagement Session | Urdaneta Village
Photographing families, kids and babies have long occupied the base of my heart. Even when I’m shooting weddings, I tend to follow my tiny friends who are usually the nephews or nieces of our clients. In the case of Raffy and Carmela, well, let’s just say I had met “Mea” at a time that she could still pass off as a flower girl. She is one of my sister’s closest friends and it is such a great thing that they have managed to stay in touch, as they leaf through new chapters in life. Because of that, she too is like family to me. Congratulations Raffy and Carmela! God Bless…
