Miguel’s Market | Hampton Court Hillsborough, Muntinlupa

His name is Alexander Miguel. He celebrated his first birthday at a venue called Hampton Court. Sounds like a feast fit for a king right? Well, it’s definitely a yes.  With the help of his awesome parents who happen to be a couple of really really creative and talented chefs ( Carlo and Therese), Miguel had a party theme, that was closer to their hearts: A Farmer’s Market! …Yes! With real live , I mean… really fresh vegetables. Together with Passion Cooks, the venue was styled and transformed into a playful yet grand setup. Once you enter the venue and you look up, a sea of blue and white will greet you, with balloons that were hanging like clouds. The table and chairs for kids were wooden, and they were comfy too! (I tried it ala Goldilocks — haha!).   The flowers on the table tops gave us that extra elegant kick while drops and dashes of the color red all over the event venue made the party feel even more festive. Apart from the yummy food and desserts, the thing that made us experience the party in a very unique and interesting way were the activity booths. I’ll tell you more about them as we scroll down. Here’s Miguel’s Farmers Market. This is something I have never seen before. 🙂 🎶There was a farmer named Miguel,  and… here’s his birthday cake…yo! haha. ( Did you sing?) 🎶 Hi Miguel! FRESH!  🙂 “Making Kulit” 🙂 While waiting, the kids played with color! Here we go! Kids and parents enjoyed decorating cup cakes from scratch!  Taho was served too! Our celebrant Miguel was able to participate in the games 🙂 Ice cream anyone? This is one of the booths that also made our jaws drop. A dinosaur shaped cotton candy? Insane! How about a make-your-own-toy booth? Oh, and what makes this booth even cooler is that, the women of Gawad Kalinga helped the kids to sew and make their plush toy. I checked out their website after the party and their cause is pretty cool! Help kids build the nation. Start ’em young! Let them play! 🙂 Remember Miguel’s Market, which I’ve told you about earlier? Originally I thought it was just placed there for decorative purposes. But, it turned out to be…a souvenir booth! Carlo was also giving away some home made sausages which shoppers went crazy about! A Foam Birthday Cake. And they blew it! hahaha It was a really really fun day 😉 Tha’ts all folks! Happy first year Miguel!
